Tripimation

Exactly a year ago at this very moment I was painting my jacket “Tripimation”. I wanted to have a personal jacket that would describe me. On its first year anniversary I wanted to make a post about it. Here is what it looks like:

There are three elements what make it special;

Pink Floyd-Darkside of the Moon

Mushrooms

Mars

I’ve been listening to Pink Floyd since I was little. As a big fan of them I still cannot answer which of their album is my favorite. But I can say that Darkside of the Moon is very special for me. Also its album cover is very simple, easy to recognize and has got so much meaning behind it.

On this personal landscape there are mushrooms. My experiences with psilocybin have definitely changed my life. I started to see the world from different perspectives, as Aldous Huxley says from different doors of perception. Each mushroom on the jacket represents each trip/journey that I had to my consciousness, spiritual world, hidden lanscape, wonderland or whatever you’d like to call it. Every time I have another trip I paint another mushroom on it.

Planet Mars has always been a mystery for me since I was a kid. I’ve been wondering about it and writing stories in my head. I included it on my jacket as the habitat for my fictional character. A year ago on my 20th birthday I got myself a present that would represent my childhood; a Martian Commander from Mars Attacks. According to the story that martian lives on the planet that is painted on my jacket. It represents my subconsciousness. I always carry him around in the secret pocket of my jacket.

I’ve been traveling past four years. Here are some pictures of him from his trip:

My martian’s journey reflects mine. Rather than writing a diary, I’m writing a story about planet earth from a martian’s perspective, with all the pictures of him from his journey.

Here how Tripimation looks like after a year of being around:

After a year, I made another jacket which has the same landscape from a different perspective:

Hope you enjoyed the story :)
